So, we have a few different groups of kids in our neighborhood... wanderers. there are the bikers, a gang of 3 or 4 boys who ride their bikes fast and talk on cell phones and look like semi-trouble. then there is the girlfriend... she is in a group of her own. she talks to keith sometimes. then there are the saunterers. they are in 2 groups: the 2 chubby redheaded boys and the 2 or 3 chubby girls. yeah, america is getting fatter, and my neighborhood is a prime example.
anywho, today we had a little of both. every once in a while we would see the biker gang go by... not too much trouble. then we had the saunterers, and they aren't really trouble, just kinda dumb. they like to hang out in our yard. first it was just cutting across the field to get to the other street. that's fine with us. now it's more like "hey, let's hang out by this creek, even though it's someone's yard." are parents really that bad now-a-days? these kids sit out by our hummingbird feeder and lay in the yard, try to walk in the creek, and slap at mosquitoes. really?! did your parents not teach you to stay out of other people's yards? now they do stick to the outside edge, but still... come on. so after playing around in our field, they left, only to return with another girl a few minutes later. after hanging out for a little while more, they left, but not to their homes... they went to another neighbor's yard and hung out in his ditch. seriously?! did no one teach you about private property or liability issues?
